The Family Hut: Rammell Mountain Retreat
This yurt is
the newest addition to Rendezvous’ yurt
system and is located on 24 wooded acres in
the foothills of the Tetons. Nestled in a peaceful
aspen and Douglas fir woodland, this yurt is
a great place to relax with family and friends.
Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are
just a short drive away. Other nearby attractions
include downhill skiing at Grand Targhee and
the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, restaurants
and shopping in Jackson Hole, and the quaint
towns of Victor and Driggs, Idaho.

Our new 30 -foot yurt has ample room to sleep six people and comes complete with kitchen and bathing facilities. For warmth, the yurt is equipped with a wood stove and propane heater, sleeping bags and pads for the bunk beds, and solar electricity. The kitchen has a two burner propane cook stove and all the cookware and utensils for your group. The separate bathhouse has a toilet, shower and sinks with hot water. There are puzzles, games and magazines to offer entertainment when you feel like lounging next to the wood stove. This is the perfect cozy retreat after a day exploring the woods!
In the winter and spring, the Rammell Mountain Retreat is located just a half mile from a plowed road in a rural residential area, making it a unique and accessible lodging experience for families and friends. You may choose to cross-country ski or snowshoe into the yurt. With easy access to the National Forest and local ski trails, this yurt is ideally suited for cross-country skiers and snowshoers looking for a private winter getaway. Bring along your telemark, alpine touring, or snowboard gear and set off for a day trip into the high country.
In the summer and fall, the Retreat is easily accessible by car. Enjoy the peaceful setting of the fir and aspen forest while having all the amenities of conventional lodging. There is great hiking and biking right out the front door. The yurt is ideally situated to explore the hiking and biking trails of the central and northern Tetons, too, as well as a great base camp from which to explore Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
Yurt Rental Rates
$85/night for one or two people, $110/night for three or more people, plus tax. Includes exclusive use of the yurt and bathhouse on 24 wooded, secluded acres.

Allow us to show you the spectacular scenery of the Teton backcountry. Our friendly, knowledgeable guides will provide two memorable days in Grand Teton National Park and the Targhee National Forest. At the end of the day, retire to the cozy Rammell Mountain Retreat. We’ll cook you a gourmet dinner while you relax by the fire with a glass of wine. This is a unique and unforgettable way to experience the solitude of the Tetons with your family or friends.
Cost: $875/couple includes two days private guided snowshoeing or cross country skiing, one night exclusive yurt lodging, gourmet dinner, breakfast, two lunches, rental of snowshoes and poles, transportation to/from your hotel in Jackson Hole and transportation to/from trailheads. Does not include Forest Service Tax or Idaho Lodging tax.
